Sheila Durant has been engaged in the practice of law for over thirty years. After having successfully represented the City of Baltimore as a litigator through five Mayors, she served the next 16 years as Senior Counsel to the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, the fifth largest housing authority in the United States. In addition she served as a Commissioner with the State of Maryland’s Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and an Equity Master to the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. She serves in leadership in the American Bar Association in multiple committees.

She serves in leadership in the American Bar Association in multiple committees. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Member of the Real Property Council of the Maryland State Bar Association and active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the District of Maryland. She is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Leon Higginbotham Fellows.
